On the Hunt for Peace(s).
The Art of Knowing What Fits.
A Hunter’s Moon reflection on personal style, secondhand treasures + the beauty of choosing what belongs.

There’s a particular thrill to walking into a vintage shop with absolutely no idea what you’re going to find.
A fabulous old coat. An unexpected treasure. Something you never knew you needed, tucked between fifty things you absolutely don’t.
Half the fun is looking.
The other half is developing the eye to know what’s worth taking home.
And this year’s Hunter’s Moon has me thinking about the difference.
The hunt is on.
October’s Full Hunter’s Moon arrives in Taurus on October 26, opposite the Sun in Scorpio.
Traditionally, the Hunter’s Moon followed the Harvest Moon, marking a season when people turned their attention toward gathering what they needed for the winter ahead.
The hunt had a purpose.
Thousands of years later, we’re hunting for slightly different things.
Love. Money. Security. Experiences. Beautiful clothes. Better opportunities. A life that feels like it belongs to us.
And occasionally, a vintage suede jacket that has absolutely no business being as perfect as it is.

Good taste goes deeper than the closet.
In astrology, Taurus is associated with beauty, comfort, pleasure, possessions, and the things that make life feel secure.
Scorpio brings the deeper questions. Desire, attachment, transformation, intimacy, and everything that motivates our choices beneath the surface.
Together, they make an interesting pair.
Taurus appreciates the beautiful thing.
Scorpio wants to understand the attraction.
With Venus retrograde inviting a reconsideration of our tastes and values, and Mercury retrograde revisiting old conversations and assumptions, the cosmic backdrop feels particularly suited to a little personal editing.
After all, there’s a difference between appreciating something and needing to own it.
A difference between being attracted to something and feeling aligned with it.
And a difference between the excitement of the hunt and the satisfaction of the find.

The art of knowing what fits.
Anyone who loves secondhand shopping understands that the most expensive piece isn’t necessarily the best one.
Neither is the rarest.
Sometimes the real treasure is something beautifully made, slightly unexpected, and remarkably suited to the person you’ve become.
Other times, the most fabulous thing in the store simply belongs to someone else’s story.
And that’s perfectly fine.
The same discernment applies well beyond the fitting room.
Relationships. Commitments. Opportunities. The ways we spend our time, money, attention, and energy.

We can appreciate something without making room for it in our lives.
We can give something a second chance without insisting it deserves a permanent place.
And we can change our minds about what fits.
That’s part of having taste. It’s also part of knowing yourself.
On the hunt for peace(s).
I still believe in the thrill of the hunt.
In curiosity. In possibility. In walking into an unfamiliar place and discovering something extraordinary.
There’s plenty of room for wanting more from this lifetime.
But the real luxury is knowing what we’re looking for — and having the confidence to leave the rest behind.
This Hunter’s Moon, consider what you’ve been pursuing.
Does it fit the life you’re creating?
Does it still reflect your values?
Are you drawn to the thing itself, or simply the excitement of finding it?
And what already belongs in your life that deserves a little more appreciation?

Hunt for what matters. Choose what fits. Leave room for the unexpected.
Somewhere between the pieces we collect and the peace we’re looking for, there’s a beautiful little thing called alignment.
And that never goes out of style.
